I’ve never been to San Francisco. I’ve seen parts of it while watching movies and while watching the NBA (they always show the Golden Gate Bridge every time there’s a Warriors home game). But it’s not because of those things that made me feel so nostalgic when I was there. It’s because of Train’s music.
The whole time I was there, I couldn’t stop singing “Save Me, San Francisco.” I think I was in high school when that song came out. I remember buying their album and would listen to it every day for the next three weeks. Somehow, it felt like I was being brought back to a moment that I’ve never been before. It’s weird, but that’s what I felt the whole time I was there.
Also, probably one of the reasons why it felt so nostalgic because we went to see our family friends. My dad’s college best friend lives there, so it was enjoyable for them to catch up. We saw our childhood friend there too, and he drove us around the area. The best part is that I was able to see one of the families that hosted me when I was on a children’s choir tour back in 2016-2017. I never thought that I would see these beautiful people again, but our paths crossed, and it was awesome.
Taking photographs at San Francisco was so fun because the city is very vibrant in colors. The colors of the houses and their beautiful architecture made the town so charming. Here are some of the photos during our 3-day trip:
