Aaahhhhh! Finally 25! If you’ve been keeping up with my Instagram, you probably saw my daily post of every person and every thing that I was thankful for. I did that for 25 days and wrapped it up on this trip. It was a last minute decision (this is normal in our family) but spontaneous plans are always the best, yeah?
I’ve been dreaming to go to Coron for a very long time. Back then, the thought of it was too impossible since airfares were very expensive and no airline had a direct flight from Cebu. But God heard my silent prayers and made all of this possible. Every step we took was miraculously curated by God. From the airline choice, to the hotel, and even up to the weather. Everything worked out perfectly. Every time I’d look back at this trip, I’ll always remember God’s favor on us.
Airline: Philippine Airlines, Cebu to Busuanga (₱5000.00-₱6,000.00 one way)
Hotels: Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel (1N) and Two Seasons Coron Island Resort (2N). We had 30% off because of the promotion they have for Metrobank cardholders.
The reason why we opted to stay at the Bayside Hotel first and didn’t go straight to the island because we wanted to explore the town of Coron. To our surprise, it was very small. There were places we could’ve gone but we just stayed in the hotel. For dinner, we asked the tricycle driver to take us to the town proper. Usually, in the provinces, when it’s the town proper, you can easily identify it. In Coron, it just looks the same.
The people there suggested we should eat at Lobster King for dinner and so we did. Lobsters are so expensive! They even displayed a live one that cost ₱16,000.00 ? Ours only cost ₱600.00.
After dinner, we went back to the hotel and watched To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before on Netflix. ? My sisters and I were super kilig!
The next day, we went to the island. It was a 45-minute speedboat ride to get there. It was super long and my Mom wasn’t happy about it since she’s just scared of the waves. But like I said, everything was curated perfectly by God, so the ride was very smooth. It was also our first time to ride on a speedboat. ??
When we arrived, it was just perfect. One of the things that you should know about me is that I grew up going to the beach and I loved every single moment. I’d go swimming for hours. Back then, I didn’t mind getting so dark, so I could swim the whole day. So celebrating my birthday at the beach was just perfect. We had so much fun!
The second day, we went on a tour. We went to the Twin Lagoon, Kayangan Lake, and the Skeleton Wreck (a Japanese ship that sunk during World War II). We took the package at the resort for this so the tour was private. We had lunch at the beach.
It was an incredible trip! It was really special and I wouldn’t want to forget it. I went back home feeling so inspired.
How about you? When was the last time you went home from a trip feeling so inspired? ?
